He Is Risen

Yes! He is risen. Christ is risen and alive forevermore.

My dear reader, have you considered the reason for His crucifixion? Yes, He was crucified, died, and buried. Hallelujah, the third day He arose. He is the reason for the season.

Christ died that you and I might have life, and have it more abundantly. When He stretched His hands on the cross, He cried out, “It is finished” — meaning your difficulties are finished. Your depression, confusion, hardship, fear of failure, and impossibilities are finished. He took it all to the cross.

Therefore, arise and shine, for your light has come; the glory of the Lord is risen upon you (Isaiah 60:1).

As you know, Christians everywhere celebrate Easter, their most important holiday of the year. Easter Sunday commemorates the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, three days after His crucifixion upon a Roman cross outside the city of Jerusalem 2,000 years ago. An act of simple faith in the finished work of Christ — complete payment for the sins of the world — brings one eternal life and the gift of God's indwelling Spirit.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (John 3:16–17). God bless!

Too Blessed to Be Stressed

Sometimes our blessing may seem far away. The Holy Spirit may say, “Be patient.” Obey!

As time goes by, we sometimes wonder why. You can't control the unavoidable, so try to ignore the negatives — trust God and pray.

Negatives: don't recycle them, throw them away! Good choices bring good will and happy hearts. It's a good thing to feel a negative depart. Outsmart Satan today — let's start without delay. Obtain simple salvation, positive choices, and remove doubts from your life; ignore Satan's covert tricks and choose wisely. Do good, and you'll be blessed in many ways. Exercising good Christian morals will reflect thanks and praise in your heart.

Jesus is happy when we choose what is worthwhile. Are you blessed to be stressed? Then smile. Don't let Satan complicate your mind — write the negative things that tried to weigh you down on a slip of paper, then flush them out of your life. Intelligent choices each day will make your negative feelings go away. Like a river flows, negatives also flow far astray. Jesus, at the cross, stretched out His hands and said, “It is finished.”

Therefore, my dear reader, we are too blessed to be stressed. God is not calling perfection from you — He is calling you to fulfill His perfection in you. Eternal life is for you to know the invisible God. God wants us to have joy — full joy is open fellowship with Him. In Him is light, and no darkness at all (John 1:1–10). “Show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9).

May the peace of our Lord remain with you, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Racism and Christianity

Yes! Racism and Christianity. Why? Why?

This is an important yet troubling issue. Why should there be racism in Christendom? It's a question many believers have pondered but have yet to resolve. The reality of this fact is hidden in the heart of the born-again Christian. It is important to note that despite the rapid spread of Christianity in today's world, many so-called followers of Christ still nourish the idea of a “Black church” or a “White church.” This has contributed to widespread hatred among churches, ministers, denominations, and church members.

As you may understand, our God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints (1 Corinthians 14:33). Our God is the God of love and peace — that's one reason He gave us the greatest gift on earth. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Therefore, if we as Christians profess to love Christ as He loved us, we should be able to love our fellow Christian brethren, both in our congregation and outside our church — regardless of the color of their skin, faith, nationality, and so on.

As for the practice of picturing Jesus as white or black in your heart, I would say it doesn't actually change God's spiritual being, and it won't make Him love you more than His will already does. Christianity needs to outgrow this pattern of hatred and racism in Christendom, and come to the reality of Christ's desire on earth — allowing His love to shine through us as a reflection for a lost world to see, and continuing to revere His command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Why Does Satan Hate Me?

Ephesians 6:10–13

Satan hates God and those who are under God's authority. And because you are in God, Satan hates you with a cruel hatred. As you may understand, he hates you not because of who you are, but because of the God in you — for you were created in God's image, and anything bearing God's image, he will certainly hate also.

Despite Satan's cruelty, be assured that he can only do what God permits him to do. In Luke 22:31–33, Jesus confirmed to Simon Peter that Satan had demanded to have him, that he might sift him like wheat — similar to what happened in Job's case (Job 1:1–12; 2:1). God evidently granted the request, for Jesus adds, “I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not.” But remember, Christ has already appeased the wrath of God for us with His precious blood, and He will not suffer you to be tempted above what you are able to bear (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Your joy is not dependent on your present circumstances, and remember — we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous (1 John 2:1). You don't have to keep living today by what happened to you yesterday. Let every negative thing of yesterday go, and embrace the day you are presently living, with your focus on better achievement tomorrow, in Jesus' name (James 1:2–4). Therefore, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1). The closer you get to the Lord, the more He will reveal Himself and His power to you. God richly bless you and your ministry, in Jesus' name. Amen!

Philippians 2:5–11

The Cradle of Bethlehem
As Jesus journeyed to the cradle of Bethlehem:
- He suffered a great loss (2 Corinthians 8:9; John 17:5).
- He took on Himself the limitations of man. With God, Jesus was limitless, but with men He was limited — as the saying goes, “Is that not the carpenter's son?”
- He demonstrated His love for humankind.
The cradle of Bethlehem must be in our heart (John 3:16–17).
The Cross of Calvary
- He humbled Himself. Humility involves humiliation. Death by crucifixion was a shameful death — the victim was stripped naked, spat upon, and reviled with cruel words. But Christ humbled Himself to be crucified, even though He had the power to fight back. He fully submitted Himself to fulfill the cost of crucifixion. Jesus was not born to redeem the cost of death upon Himself — He was born to redeem the cost of death upon us (Matthew 1:20–21).
The cross of Calvary must be in our lives (Matthew 16:24; 2 Timothy 4:8).
The Crown
Crowned in Heaven:
- Jesus is exonerated.
- Jesus is exalted forevermore. Hallelujah!

“And if Christ has not been raised, our teaching is in vain, your faith also is in vain.” — 1 Corinthians 15:14

The Personal Importance of the Resurrection
1. Jesus' resurrection is inseparable from ours.

4. God did not break the laws of nature — He revealed them.

It is the body of Jesus that proved the resurrection, not the tomb. He was resurrected in His body. The resurrection is God's proof to us that we are part of His plan.

“Therefore, my beloved, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58).

I know that my Redeemer lives (Job 19:25). What about you?

God Can Fix It

There is a restoration going on today. Through Christ Jesus, God is building a strong army, full of power and authority, engrafted in holiness.

You need to enlist in this army and live to defeat the forces of evil. “Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord” (2 Corinthians 6:17). You are not made to be defeated. God made you, and He gave you dominion over your enemies.

My friend, anything that causes you pain, or whatever causes you grief, sorrow, or setback in any form or in any area of your life, is an enemy. The enemy may differ from one person to the other. However, you must refuse to trade your authority for any trick of the devil. You should always identify your authority with the name of Jesus, because it is given to you in His name.

You must speak it, live it, in Jesus' name, and your heart must agree with the words that proceed out of you — which is faith. God bless!

Got Vision?

Proverbs 29:18: “Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he who keeps the law, happy is he.” The Amplified Bible helps us see first what vision is. The visions most often talked about are the rare, supernatural views that God gives, which need explaining because they are so unusual. The word “vision” in this passage has to do with the revelation of God that brings lost people, or people bound in sin, first to understand something about God, then to fear Him, and finally to obey Him. The idea is that disobedient people, because of their ignorance of what God requires, are naturally unhappy. They have no vision — no revelation of God and His holiness, no appreciation for His standards.

So why do they perish? Because they know nothing of God's righteousness, they go about establishing their own righteousness. They begin to establish their own laws instead of seeking to hear what Almighty God has said. Vision is not about focusing on yourself — vision is focusing beyond yourself, on the eternity of God. God has given you an invitation, a vision, a calling. It is your decision whether to follow Him, or stay where you are and keep doing the same old things you're used to doing.

Learn how to expand the vision that God has given you. There is more to knowing the power of God than knowing Scripture. You might know and quote every text in the Bible and still be far from God's anointing. The anointing and power of God come from your personal relationship with God. My friend, where is your vision?
